Une maison pas comme les autres!

In this unit,  students will learn vocabulary related to rooms in a house, furniture, and various activities.

Vocabulary:

·    une maison - a house

·    une pièce - a room

·    la cuisine - the kitchen

·    la chambre à coucher - the bedroom

·    la salle de récréation - the recreation room/ the family room

·    la salle à manger - the dining room

·    le salon - the living room

·    la salle de bains - the bathroom

·    le couloir - the hallway

·   le sous-sol - the basement

·    le rez-de-chaussée - the ground floor

·    le premier étage - the first floor (the floor above ground floor)

·    un rectangle - a rectangle

·    un carré - a square

·    un cercle - a circle

·    un triangle - a triangle

·    un motif marbré - a marbled pattern

·    un motif floral - a floral pattern

·    un motif rayé - a striped pattern

·    un motif à carreaux - a checkered pattern

·    un motif tâcheté - a spotted pattern

·    un meuble - a piece of furniture

·    un appareil - a machine

·    une télévision - a T.V.·    un sofa - a sofa

·    une auto - a car

·    un ordinateur - a computer

·    un lecture de disque compact - a C.D. player

·    une lampe - a lamp

·    une table - a table

·    un évier - a sink

Expressions:

·    plus grand que/ plus grande que - bigger than

·    moins grand que/ moins grande que - smaller than

·    Quelle est ta pièce préférée?  (Which room do you prefer?)

·    Je préfère... (I prefer)

Verbs:

·    Nous chantons - We sing     (chanter - to sing)

·    Nous jouons - We play        (jouer - to play)

·    Nous mangeons - We eat    (manger - to eat)

·    Nous cuisinons - We cook    (cuisiner - to cook)

·    Nous dormons - We sleep   (dormir - to sleep)
